What are Connect Groups?
CONNECT WITH PEOPLE
One part of our church’s mission is “connecting with each other.” Connect Groups are the main way that we do that. They’re the place where the real ministry of the church takes place as we study the Bible, while supporting and sharing our lives with one another. An average meeting lasts about an hour and a half, followed by some light refreshments.
GROW IN YOUR FAITH
In these “sermon-based” small groups, imagine the previous Sunday’s sermon as a lecture on Christian living, and your Connect Group as a lab where you get to roll up your sleeves and discuss how the sermon works in real life. Each week there will be a series of questions related to that Sunday’s sermon that you can download right here on this page.
We hope that you’ll attend all nine to ten weeks of each session. We also realize life can get very busy, but we hope you’ll commit to the other people of your group. Even if you have to miss a week, keep in contact with your group. This commitment to relationship makes Connect Groups work. At the end of each session, you will have the choice of recommitting for another session, trying a new group, or taking a break from Connect Groups altogether. Remember: bite-sized commitments can produce long-term relationships.
Each year we have Winter, Spring, and Autumn sessions. Connect Groups do not meet in July, August, or December. The 2017 Winter Session will run January 17 through March 17.
