connecting with God and you!

Vacation Bible School 2017 truly was full of Victory!

Last week, we had our annual Vacation Bible School. This year’s theme was Victory! The emphasis was on remembering who God is, what He has done, and what He promises to do. Each night, we focused on different heroes in the Bible and the areas they proved victorious: Joshua and courage, Gideon and obedience, David and faith, Esther and unity, and of course, Jesus and His victory on the cross. There was worship every night, along with skits, Bible study, interactive crafts and snacks, and games that were all intertwined with that night’s theme.

In the past, our VBS was opened primarily to our church family. This year, we advertised in the community and we were not disappointed! VBS was so exciting and many of the attendees did not want to miss one moment of it. Parents were telling us that not only were their kids having fun, but they were learning so much, too. We also had more than 20 volunteer staff this year which made this one of the smoothest VBS’s ever. Sometimes it was hard to tell who was having more fun, the kids or the staff!

A great big thank you to everyone who prayed for this event, shopped for food, worked each and every night, and poured the love of Jesus into these precious young disciples.

  1. Our girls had an amazing experience at your VBS, their excitement was contagious, we will definitely be back! What also really impressed us what the number of volunteers you were able to pull together to put on such a great experience for the children.
