Hold Fast

Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Daily Nugget to chew on:

Hold Fast

Hebrews 10:23 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering (for he is faithful that hath promised)

Further Thought: Today’s passage reminds us not to allow what’s ours to be taken away [2 Peter 1:3-4]. We are to hold fast [hold tightly and consider no other opinions] to what God has given and made available to us.  Allow what God has said to dominate your thoughts and actions. Don’t allow your soul [mind, will, and emotions] to govern how you live and conduct yourself. Recognize when you decided to obey God, the forces of darkness heard it and they will do all they can to stop you. Remember Mark 4:16-17 reminds us that affliction and persecution comes for the Word of God you have acknowledged and received. So recognize it’s not you the enemy is after but God’s Word that will change any situation or circumstance. Now let me encourage you to hold fast to your confession of faith [i.e., God’s Word you have acknowledged, believed, received, and are resting in] because the one who made the promise is faithful to ensure it manifests in your life.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.

  1. I love the word “dominate” in this context. We often allow negative things, words, and people to “consume” our mind —- dominate our spirit. BUT If I (had to make it personal) :)…. Just hold fast to my Faith Confession and His promises … oh my Lord … the manifestation of His word operating in my life shall come forward … it has to IF I’m chewing on His word … IF I’m allowing His thoughts and actions to dominate my spirit …it has to! He knows the thoughts He has for me (us) according to Jeremiah 29:11 … I am embracing my Faith and His Word … Yeehaw!!!
