Don’t Look Back

Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Don’t Look Back”

Philippians 3:13b New Living Translation (NLT)

…but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,

Further Thought: We all know if we keep looking back, reliving past disappointments, we will never reach our destination. 2023 may not have been a pleasant year, but the good news is you can still move forward and experience all God has provided according to 2 Peter 1:3-4. How can I say this? Jesus said He’s empowered you and me to do whatever the Word of God says. And the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now dwells in you, and His specialty is raising dead situations to life. According to Hebrews 4:12 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)), let’s remember God’s words are alive and full of power.

So, if you find yourself looking back over past disappointments, see them as discoveries, not failures. You may have made the same mistake five times, but see it as discovering five ways not to do it. New Flash: all the mistakes you made in 2023, or will make in 2024, are not a surprise to God, and He’s already factored them into His plans for you.

This is the final nugget for 2023. I want to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. Let’s close our 2023 strong and  keep chewing on God’s Word.
