A Kingdom

Good Morning and a Happy 2024 to your and your family.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“A Kingdom”

A Kingdom is the governing influence of a King over his territory, impacting it with his personal will, purpose, and intent, producing a culture, values, morals, and lifestyle that reflects the King’s desires and nature for his citizens.

Further Thought:  Our theme for 2024 is “Seeking to Know, Understand and Experience the Kingdom of God.”  Did you know the moment you accepted Jesus as Lord, you became a citizen of a new Kingdom?  I encourage you to meditate on the “A Kingdom” definition and the additional references below.  As you read the accounts of Jesus, you will discover his main message was to point the people towards the Kingdom.  Jesus was God’s witness, as we are today, of the benefits available in the Kingdom.  Jesus described the Kingdom of God to the people he ministered to, and they received his message.  He told them everything they were seeking was available in the Kingdom.  In Matthew 6:33, Jesus said to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all the things [food, drink, clothes, health] you are seeking will be added.  That’s right, in a Kingdom, the King is responsible for meeting the needs of his people.  So, as we begin this New Year, let’s start to see everything from a Kingdom perspective.  I’ll say again:

A Kingdom is the governing influence of a King over his territory, impacting it with his personal will, purpose, and intent, producing a culture, values, morals, and lifestyle that reflects the King’s desires and nature for his citizens. [Dr. Myles Munroe]

Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
