The Kingdom Has Arrived

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“The Kingdom Has Arrived”

Matthew 3:1-2 New International Version (NIV)

1 In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea 2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

Further Thought:  Did you notice that John didn’t preach to the masses?  No, God sent him to the wilderness, and He drew the people, those who would hear his message.  So, in 2024, don’t concern yourself with how many members you have or don’t have in your church.  The key is we want people seeking to know, understand, and experience the message of the Kingdom of Heaven (or the Kingdom of God) so we can be the example to those seeking answers only the church (you and I) can provide.

Today’s passage says, Repent [now is time for a new way of thinking and living] for the Kingdom of God has arrived.  The reign of God has come. Now we get the choice if we will live under the King’s Reign.  Doing this allows the Kingdom of God into the earth where God’s Will is possible.  So as we read God’s Word in 2024, let’s recognize that as believers, these are the King’s decreases, and now the decision is ours if we will obey the King’s decreases.  Now that the Kingdom has arrived, let us come in and discover the simple life God has called us to live.  Remember, if you find yourself in worry, stress, or resentment,…you are operating outside the Kingdom where God’s solutions are unavailable.

Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
