Forgive Yourself

Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Forgive Yourself”

Isaiah 43:25 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

I, even I, am He Who blots out and cancels your transgressions [wrongdoings], for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins.

Further Thought:  This is an amazing passage. God made the decision not only to forgive our sins but never to remember them again.  Here we see God saying I’m not doing this just for you but for mine own sake.  So, if God said he couldn’t live with holding our past against us, why should we?  I present to you that we must and can do the same as Kingdom Citizens.  Remember, we have the mind of Christ, and we’ve been created in the image and likeness of God.  Once we confess the wrongdoing, God immediately drops it, and as far as He is concerned, it never happened.  That’s right, and He won’t ever bring it up again.  So, if it’s not on God’s mind, it shouldn’t be on our minds.  And remember, no matter the natural consequences, He’s our Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby) to guide us through it.

Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
