You’re Asking the Wrong Question

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“You’re Asking the Wrong Question”

John 9:1-5 The Message (MSG)

1-2 Walking down the street, Jesus saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked, “Rabbi, who sinned: this man or his parents, causing him to be born blind?”

3 Jesus said, “You’re asking the wrong question. You’re looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do.

——-

Further Thought:  Today’s passage reminds us that sometimes things will happen that we won’t have an explanation for.  Things will happen, and neither you nor anyone else is to blame.  Now, here is the exciting part.  Jesus said to stop being concerned with “Why.”  Look instead for what God can do, for with God, “ALL THINGS” are possible (Mark 9:23).

Today’s passage also reminds us that nothing is impossible in the Kingdom of God. Now, before you start quoting statistics and what others didn’t receive, Jesus said in Mark 10:27, “with men it may be impossible but not with God, for with God all things are possible.” So, whatever you may be facing, the question to always ask is, “What did God say”.

Have a day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
