The Prayer of Faith

Good Morning.  Please join me at 7:00 PM EST tonight for a word of encouragement.  I will share the YouTube link later today.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“The Prayer of Faith”

Mark 11:24 New Living Translation (NLT) & King James Version (KJV)

22 Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God.

24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive [take] them, and you shall have them.

Further Thought:  We all desire to have all our prayers answered.  Unfortunately, receiving from God requires more than just asking and receiving.  First, to request something, we must know that the other party has what we need.  Now, we can only find what God has provided in one place: His Word.  Second, once we find what’s been provided, we must believe and receive it.  This faith to believe we receive can only come one way, and it is by hearing.  Paul, in Romans 12:2, calls this process the renewing of our minds.  Yes, you can receive this faith to believe you receive by hearing a word from your pastor or another man or woman of God, but the most effective way is for your spirit to hear you confess what God has provided.  Now, you are ready to pray the prayer of faith.

Let’s Pray:  Father, you said in Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24, Psalms 103:3 & Proverbs 4:20-22 [read these passages out loud] that you not only desire that I be healthy and whole, but you have already provided the benefit.  I believe you.  By faith, I now believe I receive my healing of [fill in the blank] and the wholeness you have provided.  As I continue to follow my doctors’ instructions, show me any adjustments I need to make.  I declare that your Word is working mightily in me, causing my healing to manifest.  This is my prayer in Jesus Name.  Amen!  [so be it]

P.S. This is the prayer of faith, so you don’t have to pray this prayer again or ask others to pray for you.  Now continue to confess [renew your mind with] the scriptures above [God’s Medicine], and thank God for manifesting His Word.  As you continue to do the natural [take your medication & follow your doctors’ instructions], remain confident that the seed [God’s Word] knows what to do.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
