Sow the Word

Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Sow the Word”

Mark 4:14-20 New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB1995)

14 The sower sows the word. 15 These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them.

16 In a similar way these are the ones on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy; 17 and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they [are caused to stumble] fall away.

18 And others are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word, 19 but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

20 And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.”

Further Thought:  We close out this week, continuing to chew on the importance of God’s Word.  Today’s passage reminds us that no matter our condition, Satan is after one thing, and that is to take [steal] the word away from us.  Contrary to what you may have heard or been taught, Satan is not concerned with you.  No, he’s after the word of God sown in your life before you receive (accept) it.  Satan knows when you believe, receive, and act upon what God has said; he can’t stop your harvest from manifesting.  He also knows without God’s Word, it’s impossible for you to live the life God has predestined for you to live.  So, whatever you are facing, find out what the Word of God has to say about it and “sow it” into your mountain [what you are dealing with].  That’s right, tell your mountain [problem, situation] what the Word of God says, according to Mark 11:22-23.  Remember Romans 10:17 reminds us that faith comes by hearing and hearing what God has said.  Let’s position ourselves to hear, believe, receive, and act upon what God has said.  Now, expect your answer and watch it manifest in your life according to verse 20 of today’s passage.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
