connecting with God and you!

Change Your World

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Change Your World”

Romans 12:1-2 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

1 So I beg you, brothers and sisters, because of the great mercy God has shown us, offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him—an offering that is only for God and pleasing to him. Considering what he has done, it is only right that you should worship him in this way.

2 Don’t change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but let God change you inside with a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to understand and accept what God wants for you. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.

Further Thought:  Yes, learning how to think and operate in the Kingdom of God is a process, but the Good News is, as believers, created in the image and likeness of God, [Genesis 1:26-28] we can do whatever God’s Word says.  Remember, God’s Word is incorruptible seed [1 Peter 1:23]. Nothing is more powerful than the Word of God when spoken and acted upon in faith [trust & confidence].  So we can’t allow ourselves to say we can’t change, a loved one can’t change, or a situation won’t change.  When we think about it, we’ve programmed ourselves to believe it won’t change, not based on God’s Word but on our upbringing, our environment, and associations.  Now your Heavenly Father is saying, allow me to change your world.  I have new data [My Word] that will transform your thinking, and when received, the abundant life Jesus came to make available will follow, according to John 10:10b. As we close, let’s remember “death and life are in the power of the tongue,” Proverbs 18:21 and “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he, Proverbs 23:7.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
