Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Our Desire”

Matthew 15:29-31 The Passion Translation (TPT)

29 After leaving Lebanon, Jesus went to Lake Galilee and climbed a hill nearby and sat down.  30 Then huge crowds of people streamed up the hill, bringing with them the lame, blind, deformed, mute, and many others in need of healing. They laid them at Jesus’ feet and he healed them all.

31 And the crowds marveled with rapture and amazement, astounded over the things they were witnessing with their own eyes! The lame were walking, the mute were speaking, the crippled were made well, and the blind could see. For three days everyone celebrated the miracles as they exalted and praised the God of Israel!

Today’s Prayer:  Father, thank you today for giving us in the Word examples of the love you desire to demonstrate to the world.  Your best is that no one is lame, blind, deformed, or mute.  We can’t explain why certain things happen, and we are glad we don’t have to explain them.  Our heart’s desire today is that our spiritual leaders [pastors, teachers, evangelists, and those called to speak your Word, including me] begin to operate as Jesus did when he walked the earth.  He was our example, and He said in John 14:12, that we would do greater things because He was returning to you. So, according to your Word in Acts 4:29-30, we are asking you to empower our spiritual leaders [call out their names] to speak your Word freely and courageously.  Stretch out your hand of power through them to heal and to move in signs and wonders by the name of your holy Son Jesus.  We believe we receive, in Jesus Name. Amen

We will win the world to Christ when they begin to see the Church [that’s you and me] functioning in the power as Jesus did when He walked the earth.  Deep down, isn’t this your desire?
