Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“The True Bread”
John 6:33-35 Living Bible (TLB)
33 The true Bread is a Person—the one sent by God from heaven, and he gives life to the world.”
34 “Sir,” they said, “give us that bread every day of our lives!”
35 Jesus replied, “I am the Bread of Life. No one coming to me will ever be hungry again. Those believing in me will never thirst.

Further Thought: Let’s remember that at the beginning of John Chapter 6 is the account of Jesus, the bread of life, feeding the multitude with two small fishes and five loaves. Jesus reminded the people in verses 26-27 of today’s chapter not to be concerned about perishable things like food. But, instead, to seek [focus on] the true source of life, which is the Word of God. John 6:63 reminds us, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life”. Let’s recognize that what Jesus has to say is a foreign language to those who have not accepted him as their Lord and Savior. Unfortunately, they won’t understand, and you shouldn’t attempt to explain it if they don’t have a desire to know the only true God. I’m not saying to give up on your fellow man but to recognize if they are not ready to receive from you. Jesus wants us not to exist but to live life to the full and until it overflows, according to John 10:10b, Amplified Bible Classic Edition. So, to truly live, yes, we will require food, but even more essential, we have to believe, receive, and rest in what the true bread of life has said.
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
