Arming Our Children 4 Success

Good Morning.  Some of our children have already started the new school year. This morning, I want to encourage you to share this nugget with your child or a friend with children. Let’s recognize we have an enemy whose goal is to steal, kill, and destroy [John 10:10]. However, we have been given authority on the earth to short-circuit every one of his plans. Thank you for all you are doing to ensure your child’s success. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Arming Our Children 4 Success”

Proverbs 22:6 Amplified Bible (AMP)

6 Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents], Even when he is old he will not depart from it.

——–

Daily Confession for the New School Year: The Spirit of the Lord lives BIG within me. He’s given me his mind, his wisdom, and his love. He teaches me to know and respect him, my teachers, and my classmates. He gives me a quick understanding of all things. He’s created me in his image and after his likeness. Therefore, I can learn whatever is required of me today. This school year will be my best year ever, both socially and academically. Thank You, Lord, for favor with you, with my teachers and classmates. Thank you for reminding me that I can do all things through you, who gives me the ability. Now I send my angels out to prepare the way, to keep me safe from all hurt, harm, or danger. This is my confession of faith [what I believe and receive] in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Further Thought: As our children start the new school year, let’s remind them daily who they are and whose they are.  They have been created in the very image and likeness of All Mighty God, and he doesn’t make any mistakes.  There is no task they will face this school year that is too great for them.  Remember, if we don’t tell them who they are, society will, and we see daily how that is playing out.

I want to encourage all parents if you don’t already have a plan to start praying with and over your children daily before they depart for school but also to encourage them to make the confession of faith above a part of their daily routine.  Remember, faith comes by hearing [Romans 10:17].  The more they hear about the awesome power that is available to them, the more confident they will become in it.

You can also take this confession of faith and have it laminated, and provide a copy to your child.  When things get complicated, they can pull it out and receive encouragement.  But don’t stop there; develop a habit of talking about God’s Word with your children at the dinner table, sitting on the porch, on the road, before you go to bed, and when you get up [Deuteronomy 6:7 & 11:19].  Yes, they can, and you can know and understand God’s Word and the great plans he has made available.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
