Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Recognize Your Seasons”

To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven:

Further Thought: It’s important to recognize our seasons.  For example, if you are an apple farmer, you have a specific season you plant, a specific season you guard and protect your seeds sown, and then it’s the season to harvest.  Now think about what would happen if you decided to harvest in Nov instead of Sep.  Chances are you would have lost your entire crop.  As a result, you will have to wait an entire season to harvest apples.

It’s no different in the Kingdom of God.  We have different seasons in our spiritual journey, and we must move on God’s timing, not our own.  For example, God may have instructed you to move to a specific city, but you decided to stay where you are based on family, finances, etc.  Later, you discover that you’ve missed a God opportunity and that your present location is not where you should be.  But due to your decision, you missed what God had lined up for you at the new location.  Yes, you could pack up today and move to the new location, but there are no guarantees the doors God had prepared for you to go through are still open. 

When we fail to recognize the seasons of our lives and don’t move on God’s timeline, we create delays in our lives that affect us and our families, which could also set us back years.  So, if God says I have a new opportunity [I have something better], let the old thing go and embrace the new.  Remember you have the Spirit of God living in you to guide you every step of the way, so there is absolutely no need to fear.  So what if you are 50 or 60?  He’s made available 120 years to you, so you have plenty of time.  As we start this new day, let’s commit to staying in tune and in step with God.
