Stop Them

Good Monday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Stop Them”

Isaiah 54:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemnThis is the heritage [benefit] of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

Isaiah 54:17 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

17 But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.

Further Thought: Today’s passage and Psalm 34:19 remind us that attacks will come while we are in our earth suits.  However, no attack has the power to take us out without our permission. According to today’s passage, we have been given authority and power over anything that will attempt to hurt us.  However, we, not God, must use our benefit of authority and power.  In Mark 11:23, Jesus shows us how to use our authority and power and that is by speaking to anything that will attempt to steal from us in any way. Think about it: your body [pain, blood pressure, etc..], the News, and circumstances, for example, are talking to you all the time. So the question is, how are you responding? Are you allowing them to hang around [to form] and direct the course of your life, or have you decided to use your authority and stop them in their tracks?

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
