Unbelief

Good Monday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Unbelief”

Mark 6:4-6 New Living Translation (NLT)

4 Then Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family.” 5 And because of their unbelief, he couldn’t do any miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6 And he was amazed at their unbelief.

Further Thought:  Jesus, in today’s passage, reminds us that even he couldn’t convince those closest to him to believe he could help them.  So, think it not strange when you face a similar roadblock when you attempt to help those closest to you. But don’t give up on them, but continue to pray for them according to 1 Timothy 2:1-4.  Know that God still has someone who can reach them. Today’s passage also reminds us that the word of God won’t work for anyone who won’t believe it.  Today, I want to encourage you to be mindful of the atmosphere around you.  So when doubt and unbelief are being spoken, and you are unable to change the conversation, just politely remove yourself.  Your destiny is too important to allow the poison of “unbelief” to enter.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
