Good Monday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Choose 2 Forgive”
Matthew 18:21-22 New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB1995)
21 Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus *said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven (490x).

Further Thought: Today’s passage reminds us that we have been called to a higher standard, and that standard is the standard of love. Love always forgives. Depending on what you are facing, some acts of forgiveness may take longer than others. And if you find yourself not being able to forgive your fellow man, then seek the assistance of the Holy Spirit who lives in you. Remember, he was the one who put the love of God in your heart, according to Romans 5:5, and he’s the one to show you how to activate the love of God even in the most challenging situations. Galatians 5:6 reminds us that the proof of our faith is demonstrated by our love for one another, and it also demonstrates our love for God. Without love, both our faith and our prayer lives are limited.
Today’s Confession of Faith: Father, I recognize that unforgiveness limits what I’m able to do and, most importantly, what you are able to do through and for me. I am reminded that the faith you’ve given me can only work with love. So, right now, I choose to forgive ____ anyone I’m holding an offense against, and I also choose to live and maintain a lifestyle of forgiveness from this day forward. Thank you for reminding me of the importance of walking in love no matter what has been done to me. This is my confession of faith. In Jesus Name. Amen
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
