Be Strong

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Be Strong”

Ephesians 6:10 New King James Version (NKJV)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Nehemiah 8:10 New King James Version (NKJV)

10 .. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

——–

Further Thought:  If you’ve been in the church, you’ve heard the two passages above.  However, today, we begin to get more light on the strength of the Lord and the reason we can be strong no matter the current circumstances.  From yesterday’s nugget, we touched on how Jesus was able to endure the cross by refusing to quit and focusing on the joy that was set before him. The joy was He saw his sacrifice redeeming you and me from the hands of the enemy and Him returning to the right hand of God the Father.

We draw from today’s passages that whatever God has made available or promised to us, His power is contained in that word to ensure it manifests in our lives, but it also includes His strength when we choose to meditate and draw upon it.  Proverbs 4:20-22 (NIV) reminds us, “20 My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words.  21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body”.

Now we see that we’ve been given access to tap into God’s power and strength, which is His word that always allows us to be strong.  But as always, the choice is ours, but I know you’ve made up your mind to draw upon the strength of the Lord on this new day. We draw upon His strength by hearing what He has said, keeping what He has said before our eyes, and allowing what He has said to penetrate our hearts, which enables us to become fully persuaded of what He promised. Joel 3:10 “let the weak say, I am strong”.

Have a great day, keep chewing on God’s Word, and don’t forget your appointment.
