Daniel 6:3 Expanded Bible (EXB)

Daniel showed that he could do the work better than [distinguished himself above] the other supervisors [presidents; heads] and governors [satraps] because an excellent [extraordinary] spirit was in him, so the king planned to put Daniel in charge of the whole kingdom.

Further Thought:  No, without any doubt, the same spirit of excellence Daniel had in him now lives in you 24/7.  Now, take a moment to chew on that.  As you start this new day, don’t forget you represent The King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Jesus).  You are an ambassador of Christ (Jesus), and he desires to make you stand out [distinguish you from anyone else], take you higher, and do exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think with your cooperation.  Recognize that God calls you a member of His family, led by His Spirit, and a person of excellence.
