Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“A Guide, Watchman & Instructor”

Proverbs 6:20-22 Amplified Bible (AMP)

20 My son, be guided by your father’s [God-given] commandment (instruction)

And do not [forsake] reject the teaching of your mother; 21 Bind them continually upon your heart (in your thoughts), And tie them around your neck.  22 When you walk about, they (the godly teachings of your parents) will guide you; When you sleep, they will keep watch over you; And when you awake, they will talk to you.

Further Thought:  When we teach our children and grandchildren God’s Word and to follow it, God has promised His Word will guide, watch, and instruct them daily.  So let’s stop worrying about them and instead teach them God’s Word and let the Word do what it was designed to do.  Remember, God’s Word is incorruptible seed, and our part is simply to plant it and water it with encouragement.  Even as an adult, God’s Word will guide, watch, and instruct you right now if you apply it. You just have to make the quality decision to apply it to your life.
