Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Believers”
Matthew 22:37-40 Living Bible (TLB)
37 Jesus replied, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.’ 38-39 This is the first and greatest commandment. The second most important is similar: ‘Love your neighbor as much as you love yourself.’ 40 All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets stem from these two laws and are fulfilled if you obey them. Keep only these and you will find that you are obeying all the others.”

Further Thought: Let’s remember Jesus is still Lord, and he said the earth is not going anywhere until the gospel of the kingdom is preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come, Matthew 24:14. Believers, those of us who have confessed Jesus as our Lord, let’s remember our charge is to love. It doesn’t matter if our candidate won or lost. We are commanded to love our neighbor. That means we are commanded to pray for our local, state, and federal officials regardless of party affiliation. That doesn’t mean you have to support all of their policies. No, with your sincere prayers, recognize you permit God into everything they and their family are a part of. Yes, our part is to pray for them and the Holy Spirit assignment is to move upon their hearts. Let’s remember Jesus said whatever the concern is that we may have of our new leaders, he said to give that to him and allow His Spirit that lives in us to order our steps. This is our safeguard to ensure we stay out of trouble and that the concern is taken care of in the proper manner.
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
