“Don’t Let It Slip”

Hebrews 2:1-3 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

1 Therefore we ought to give even more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

2 For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward,

3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord and was confirmed unto us by those who heard Him,

Further Thought:  Today’s passage reminds us of the importance of not allowing God’s Word we have heard through our daily reading or a message from our pastors to slip [drift away].  I know many of us attended church this past weekend, or based on your schedule, you may have listened to a message.  So, what are you doing with the information you received?  As you chew on the question above, I want to encourage you to take God’s Word you have received and apply it to your life.  According to 2 Peter 1:3-4 God has given unto us all things that pertain to life, and now He expects us to use what we’ve been given.  Recognize that every word of God is vital to your journey to success, so it’s essential that you don’t let them slip.
