Good Monday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“People R Not Your Problem”

Ephesians 6:12-13 New Living Translation (NLT)

12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

Further Thought:  Despite what you may think or have been told, today’s passage reminds us that our fight is not with people. Remember, the people who may appear against you are created in the image and likeness of the God Almighty.  Let’s recognize that not everyone is aware of this, and as a result, aware or unaware, they have allowed the evil unseen spirits of this word to influence the things they say and do.  However, as believers, we are familiar with the evil schemes of the devil and how God has told us to respond.  And that is not to complain or get consumed with talking about the person or the issue.  So, the next time one of our leaders, co-workers, family, or friends does or says something that affects us that is contrary to the command of love [goes against God’s word], then here are a few examples of how we are to respond:

Isaiah 54:17 New King James Version (KJV) No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

Mark 11:23 New King James Version (NKJV) For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain [represents the problem, situation, or circumstance] ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Matthew 18:18 New King James Version (NKJV) “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind [forbid] on earth will be bound [forbidden] in heaven, and whatever you loose [allow] on earth will be loosed [permitted] in heaven. [simply put, heaven will back your decision.  No that doesn’t mean it’s God’s will but you and I get to decide what we allow or forbid in the earth]

When we recognize that it’s the devil behind everything attempting to steal, kill, and bring destruction in our lives, we can continue loving our fellow man, and remain focused on what we have been called to do on the earth as Ambassadors for Christ.  When our leaders are saying ungodly things and making ungodly decisions, the question CNN, FOX, and the other news outlets need to ask is:  Why are you allowing the enemy to influence you in saying or making such a decision?  When we ask questions like this, it permits the Holy Spirit to work in their lives, which is more impactful than we could ever be.  Unfortunately, none of the news networks will do this, so you and I have to permit God in their lives, and we do this by praying for them according to 1 Timothy 2:1-4.  Now relax and stay in love.
