Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Increase Our Faith”

Luke 17:5-6 New American Standard Bible 1995 (NASB1995)

5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” 6 And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.

Further Thought: We all may have heard someone say, “I need more faith,” or heard someone pray, “Lord, give me more faith.”  In today’s passage, the apostles also ask Jesus to increase their faith.  Jesus’ response to them and to us today is that if we would speak what we know and believe, whatever we are facing has to obey our faith.

Jesus said the answer is not more faith but acting on what we believe, according to God’s word, and our desired manifestation will follow.  What we say is an indication of our faith.  According to Romans 10:17, faith in God comes by hearing what He has said, and you become fully persuaded by hearing yourself confess what He has said.  Jesus, in today’s passage, was encouraging the apostles to speak their faith, which was the answer to their request.
