connecting with God and you!

You’re Always Right

Good Friday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“You’re Always Right”

Psalm 119:127-128 King James Version (KJV)

127 Therefore I love thy commandments [Word] above gold; yea, above fine gold.

128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

Further Thought:  There is no need to argue with God concerning His Word.  That would be like us telling Henry Ford that we know more about Ford cars and trucks than he does.  Yes, Mr. Ford may have to recall a few vehicles due to defects, but not so with God.  Our God is unchanging, and His Word requires no updates.  You see, the writer of Psalm 119 recognized that there was something more valuable than gold, and that is discovering what God has said in His Word, and then everything else will follow.  So, to gain the benefits provided in God’s Word, we must place a significant value upon it.  We are reminded of this same principle in Matthew 6:33: to follow what God has said in His Word despite the circumstances, and He will ensure that everything else we need is provided [paraphrased].

So, as you plan out your day, I want to encourage you to include time alone in God’s Word.  Remember, you determine how long that is.  However long that may be, ensure it is quality time [i.e. when you won’t fall asleep or be disturbed].  As you read His Word, remember He’s always right, so let’s ensure we make all required adjustments.

Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
