Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“U R Free”

Romans 8:1-2 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

1 Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.

Further Thought:  Let’s settle this up front: if you have trusted Jesus as Lord and Savior, God is not condemning you.  Despite what you may have heard, God is not in the condemning business.  Today’s passage reminds us that we’ve been freed from all condemnation and the power of sin.  God wants His Children to walk in this freedom.  Now, we walk in this freedom by renewing our minds with the truth that we are righteous [blameless] before God.  We must become more righteous conscience and less sin and guilt conscience.  For example, when something happens, are you moved by the fear of what could happen, or do you declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper according to Isaiah 54:17?

Now, don’t be concerned if others don’t agree with you.  When it comes to obeying God, the opinions of others don’t matter.  In the natural, they may be correct in saying that you are not acting as a righteous man or woman.  But the truth is Jesus said you are righteous, and as you continue to meditate on that, it won’t be long before your actions will reflect the same.
