Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Don’t Look Back”

…but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,

Further Thought:  We all know if we keep looking back, reliving past disappointments, we will never reach our destination. 2024 may not have been a pleasant year, but the good news is you can still move forward and experience all God has provided, according to 2 Peter 1:3-4.  How can I say this? Jesus said He’s empowered you and me to do whatever the Word of God says.  And the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now dwells in you, and His specialty is raising dead situations to life.  According to Hebrews 4:12 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)), God’s word is alive and full of power.  And none of your past disappointments are allowed where God desires to take you in 2025. 

So, if you find yourself looking back over past disappointments, see them as discoveries, not failures.  You may have made the same mistake several times, but see them as discovering ways not to do it.  New Flash: all the mistakes you made in 2024 or will make in 2025 are not a surprise to God, and He’s already factored them into His plans for you.  He’s not holding any of your shortcomings against you, and neither should you.

This is the final nugget for 2024.  I want to thank each of you for your support and encouragement.  Your comments served as a reminder to me that we all need encouragement.  Merry Christmas to you and your family.  May 2025 be an exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think year, according to Ephesians 3:20.  Let’s close our 2024 strong by trusting God and chewing on His Word.
