“Stop & Listen”

Proverbs 4:20-22 New International Version (NIV)

20 My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words.  21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.

Further Thought:  Today’s passage reminds us of what we should be focusing on as we enter this New Year, and that is “What did God say.” So, no matter how loud the outside voices are or what the circumstances are saying, your heavenly father says to stop [open your mouth and shut those voices down, according to Isaiah 54:17] and listen to what He is saying today and throughout this 2025.  God said in Deuteronomy 31:6 and Hebrews 13:5 that He would never leave or forsake us,” so there is no reason to fear.  Let’s also remind ourselves what God said in Psalm 32:8 Amplified Bible (AMP): “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.”  Recognize that God has great things He desires to do in and through us in 2025, but He needs our cooperation.  I know you are willing to learn from the one who created everything.
