Good Monday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“An Active Participant”
2 Peter 1:2-4 King James Version (KJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you [ye] might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Further Thought: In today’s passage, Peter reminds us that everything we ever need comes through knowledge. Once we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior, everything we would ever need was also given. Now, we need a revelation of what we already have. So, a decision must be made to become an active participant in all God has done and made available. That decision is to stop and identify what’s unnecessary in our lives. Now, that doesn’t mean you don’t get to have any fun. On the contrary, God wants us to stop and identify what’s stealing our time and energy that we could use to hear from him and discover what’s ours so we can truly enjoy life according to John 10:10b. Verse four above reminds us that God not only wants his children to know what’s been given but to be active participants [partakers] in them as well.
Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
