Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Don’t Lose Faith”
Luke 7:19-23 Living Bible (TLB)
19 he (John) sent two of his disciples to Jesus to ask him, “Are you really the Messiah? Or shall we keep on looking for him?”
20-22 The two disciples found Jesus while he was curing many sick people of their various diseases—healing the lame and the blind and casting out evil spirits. When they asked him John’s question, this was his reply: “Go back to John and tell him all you have seen and heard here today:
- how those who were blind can see.
- The lame are walking without a limp.
- The lepers are completely healed.
- The deaf can hear again.
- The dead come back to life.
- And the poor are hearing the Good News.
23 And tell him, ‘Blessed is the one who does not lose his faith in me.’”

Further Thought: Matthew 3:17 reminds us that it was John who baptized Jesus, and God said unto John, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” So, John knew who Jesus was. We, too, like John, can grow weary in our faith, even if we sit weekly under the teachings of some of God’s most anointed men and women. Today, I want to encourage you not to lose faith in what God has said. Even if things aren’t happening as you may have planned, just stay the course, regardless of what is happening around you. Remember, our responsibility is to believe and receive what God has done. Jeremiah 1:12 reminds us that God will do his part, which is to watch over His Word, that we believe and receive to ensure it manifests in our lives.
Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
