Take Control of Your Day

Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Take Control of Your Day”

Psalm 103:1-5 New King James Version (NKJV) & Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul [mind, will & emotions]; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul [mind, will & emotions], And forget not all His benefits:

3 Who forgives all my iniquities [sins, shortcomings], Who heals all my diseases,

4 Who redeems my life from destruction, Who crowns me with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

5 Who satisfies my mouth with good things, So that my youth is renewed like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]!

Further Thought:  When you start your day with this Psalm, you are calling your mind, will, and emotions to attention and giving them the instructions of the day.  Simply put, you have taken control of your day.  As you may have noticed, no one can do this for us.  Yes, our pastors and friends can tell us about this passage and offer encouragement, but it’s up to us to activate it in our lives.  So, we have to continually remind ourselves of all that we have been freely given and we can’t afford to allow anything or anyone to persuade us otherwise.  So, now that you’ve taken control of your day, what’s preventing you from soaring?

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
