Good Monday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Trust Him through the Process”

Luke 8:22-24 New International Version (NIV)

22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. 23 As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.

24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” 

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.

Luke 8:25 The Message (MSG)

25 Then he said to his disciples, “Why can’t you trust me?”  They were in absolute awe, staggered and stammering, “Who is this, anyway? He calls out to the winds and sea, and they do what he tells them!”

Further Thought:  Do you remember what the instructions were?  “Let’s us go over to the other side of the lake.”  You see, whenever God tells us to do something, He is there with us throughout the process.  So we don’t have to panic and wonder if His word will work in our situation. Yes, there will be things that attempt to distract us when we step out on God’s word.  Remember, they are just distractions; they have no power. 

We must hold on to His word and trust Him through the process.  So, when the storms of life raise their head, we have to speak the word of God to them.  Don’t be afraid, tell the devil I trust God, and I bind you and your attempted attacks (say what it is) according to Matthew 18:18.  Now, according to Hebrews 10:23, hold fast to your confession of faith “for God can be trusted to keep his promise.”  Remember, God said in Hebrews 13:5b, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.”  With that said, let’s relax and trust Him throughout our day.
