Pray with Confidence

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Pray with Confidence”

1 John 5:14-15 New King James Version (NKJV)

14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him [God], that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Further Thought: Today’s passage is an example of how to pray in faith. This passage also confirms why it’s unscriptural to continue to pray and pray about the same problem. Now, hear me out before you stop reading.

Ask yourself these two questions: 1. When I prayed, was it according to the word of God [what passage or passages of scripture are you basing your faith upon], which is His will? 2. If my prayer was according to God’s word, did I believe what I prayed? So, if you answered yes to both of these questions according to today’s passage, God heard your prayer and has guaranteed the answer. So, you no longer have to keep asking, but instead train yourself to relax, rest, and believe that you receive what you prayed for and that God will watch over His word to ensure it manifests in your life. Now keep praising Him in advance of the manifestation.

Recognize you have to stay in His word according to Proverbs 4:20-22 during the [asking —– manifestation] period. And take the time daily to listen for His still, small voice He will use to instruct you in all the necessary adjustments you need to make. [examples… don’t eat that, cut that out, don’t hang around that person…] What He may instruct you to do may not seem related to what you need, but I want to encourage you to obey. Know this: you and I will always have to make an adjustment to walk and experience God’s best. You see, your Heavenly Father is not just about you getting your needs met, but He wants to ensure you don’t end up in this same situation again.

So, no matter how long you’ve waited for the manifestation, know this: the faith contained in God’s word never expires; it will last forever. [I’ll say that again] the faith contained in God’s word never expires; it will last forever. Remember, we don’t get faith by praying [asking] but by hearing and continuing to hear what God has said.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
