Don’t Complain Pray

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Don’t Complain Pray”

Psalm 115:16 King James Version (KJV)

16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

Matthew 18:18-19 New King James Version (KJV) & Amplified Bible (AMP)

18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth will be loosed in heaven.

19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

Psalm 46:1 Amplified Bible (AMP)

1 God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble.

Further Thought:

Throughout both the 2020 and 2024 Election Campaigns, President Obama kept reminding the people who disagreed with either the democratic or republican candidate to not boo, vote.  Today I would say if you disagree with what’s happening in your government, don’t complain; pray.  Many of us have limited influence on the decisions that are and will be made by our leaders and those under their authority.  But the Good News is we have a God who does and desires to help His people, but only if we will do it His way.  So, we can exercise our right to march, hold rallies, and scream and say whatever words our flesh desires to hear at the moment, but at the end of the day, it would have all been in vain if we didn’t do it in love, and being led by the Spirit of God.  So, for believers who have lost their jobs based on cuts by the current administration, I want to encourage you to relax, breathe, and know that what you are experiencing hasn’t caught heaven by surprise. Understand that God is not going to lead you by you continuing to do all the talking or listening to the latest headlines from our government, Fox, or CNN.  According to today’s passages, He’s asking for your permission to authorize Him to work on your behalf.  Once you’ve permitted God to work on your behalf, He won’t require any of your ideas.  Yes, you need to continue to do your part, update your resume, and apply for your next position.  Most importantly, now that you have some available time, let me encourage you to spend a few minutes alone daily with God and allow Him to instruct you and guide you into your next season.  Remember, according to Isaiah 55:8-9 and John 16:13-15, our God has ideas and solutions that no man has thought of, and He desires to share them with you.  Now that you’ve decided to handle the matter God’s way let me encourage you to guard your mouth by watching what you are saying.  Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that death and life are in the power of our tongue.  Let’s continue to be part of the solution and not add fuel to a burning fire.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.

Amen! Thank you for reminding us of our part. The Bible tells us in Matthew 17:21 “…these spirits can only come out through fasting and praying.” It’s ok to not shop on Feb 28 or whatever the call, but the greater call is in 2 Chronicles 7:14 and Matthew 17:21 to name a few.

  2. AMEN, AMEN AND AMEN! Praise God! Thank you for this! Thank you for each verse/reminder and the wisdom behind every word of this article!
