Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Launch Out”

Luke 5:4-7 New King James Version (NKJV)

4 When He [Jesus] had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”  5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”

6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. 7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

Further Thought:  You see, God knows how to meet your needs.  In today’s passage Simon allowed Jesus to use his boat to speak with the people.  When he obeyed what he was trying to make happen all night, Jesus provided even more in just a fraction of the time.  Now, look back at verses four and five above.  Jesus instructed Simon to let down his nets.  However, Simon responded, “I will let down the net.”  This tells me that Jesus wanted to do even more, but He could only work with the faith Simon used.

So, stop trying to make things happen.  Recognize that your obedience authorizes God to add His supernatural power to your natural ability.  Now launch out and do what God has told you to do (that dream or desire that won’t go away).  When you obey, the blessing will follow.
