Exercise Your Authority

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Exercise Your Authority”

Mark 11:22-23 New King James Version (NKJV)

22 So Jesus answered and said to them [His 12 disciples], “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain [problem, situation], ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Luke 4:38-39 New King James Version (NKJV)

38 Now He [Jesus] arose from the synagogue and entered Simon’s house. But Simon’s wife’s mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her. 39 So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.

Further Thought:  In yesterday’s nugget, we discovered that Jesus has delegated his power and authority to every believer.  So, to operate in this power and authority, we have to believe, receive, and act upon what God has said in His word.  According to Romans 12:1-2, this process is called renewing our minds until we become fully persuaded of what God has promised.  In today’s passages, Jesus not only reminds us of our power and authority, but He takes it a step further in Luke 4:38:39, above, by providing us an example of what’s possible when we exercise the power and authority entrusted to us.

Now, as you continue to chew and grow in confidence in the power and authority you have been provided, I want to encourage you to start small.  No believer begins by rebuking cancer or another major illness.  But they start by speaking to their cold, fever or headache.  At the first sign of something not operating right in their body, they begin to speak to it.  Jesus said, in Mark 11:22-23 above, that you will have what you believe you receive.  In the Kingdom of God, we must believe we have it before it manifests.  Let’s also remember that Jesus is our example, and He spoke to the wind, waves, fever, a tree, demons, blindness, sickness, and a lack of food on multiple occasions.  Now, He requires us to follow His example when facing any mountain.  We’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating:  No matter how long you have had your current issues/problem, if you will get enough of God’s word [the answer/solution He has provided] in you and mix it with your faith, it has to obey you. Somebody Shout Glory!!!!!!!! Hallelujah

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
