connecting with God and you!

What’s Yours

Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“What’s Yours”

Psalm 103:1-5 King James Version (KJV)

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul [mind, will & emotions]: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities [sins]; who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

1 John 5:14-15 King James Version (KJV)

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him [God], that, if we ask any thing according to his will [which is His Word], he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Further Thought: If I were asked to provide two scriptures every child of God should know and be fully persuaded of, the above are my two. In Psalm 103, David says we are to remind our soul [mind, will & emotions] and all that is within us [what’s in you:  your heart, kidney, brain, blood, eyes, lungs, joints..] not to forget a single benefit.  I’ve said this before, but it is worth repeating:  Your body doesn’t know it’s already healed.  It doesn’t know it should always be calm and peaceful.  Psalm 103 reminds us that we have to tell our bodies what they will do and how it is to function.  Be encouraged today in knowing that every exceeding great and precious promise contained in God’s word is a benefit that belongs to you, and you must use it here on earth.

Second, 1 John 5 tells us we must know that whatever God has said in His word, which is His will, we can have confidence in knowing it’s available to all His children. It is God’s will that we come before Him boldly and take full advantage of all He’s made available, according to Hebrews 4:16. And the Good News is we all can live this way without robbing or being jealous of our fellow man.

Now, you may have two different scriptures, and that’s okay. But I want to encourage you to chew on these two passages today and throughout your week and allow God’s word to change your world.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
