“The Correct Instrument”

Hebrews 4:12 New Living Translation (NLT)

12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

Further Thought:  Today’s passage reminds us that nothing is more powerful than God’s word.  It is always the correct instrument to use in any situation.  Your good heavenly Father has thought of and provided a solution to every mountain [issue, concern, circumstance] you will ever face [see 2 Peter 1:3-4].  So, relax and write down the mountains [issues, concerns, circumstances] you may be facing and remind them what the word of God says.  Mark 11:22-23 reminds us that it’s our responsibility to speak to whatever challenges we may be facing that do not agree with what God has said in His word or spoken unto us by His Spirit.  Recognize some of the challenges you may be facing may have been allowed to linger for a while, so initially, they may not want to obey when you speak to them, and you may not have confidence in what you are saying.  But stay with it.   Remember, faith in God comes by hearing and hearing what He has said.  As you begin this new day, know with confidence that as you continue to apply God’s word [the correct instrument] to every mountain [issue, concern, circumstance], they have no choice but to obey.
