Good Friday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“The Will Is Being Read”
2 Peter 1:3-4 King James Version (KJV)
3 According as his [Jesus] divine power hath [past tense] given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye [you] might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Further Thought: When someone dies and cares enough to include you in their will, the least you should do is come to the reading of the will and find out what now belongs to you. It’s now up to you if you will receive what they cared enough to leave you. However, if you don’t care enough to show up, then there is nothing they can do. In today’s passage, Jesus reminds us that he’s given us all we need to live victorious lives. Now the ball is in our court. Will we take the time to open His word [the Bible] and discover how much he loved us and what are the “all things that pertain unto life and godliness and the exceeding great and precious promises” he’s left us [read today’s passage again]. He said we can only know what he’s left us if we show up for the reading of the will. Let me remind you that the passage you read above is part of the will Jesus left for you. So, as you start this new day, I want to encourage you to take a few minutes to open the will of God, which is his word, to discover and enjoy the inheritance that now belongs to you. I also want to remind and encourage you that the will Jesus left for you will be read at your local church this Sunday morning. My question is: Will you show up for the reading of the will?
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
