Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“The Assignment Is Ours Now”

Matthew 4:23-24 Living Bible (TLB)

23 Jesus traveled all through Galilee teaching in the Jewish synagogues, everywhere preaching the Good News about the Kingdom of Heaven. And he healed every kind of sickness and disease.  24 The report of his miracles spread far beyond the borders of Galilee so that sick folk were soon coming to be healed from as far away as Syria. And whatever their illness and pain, or if they were possessed by demons, or were insane, or paralyzed—he healed them all.

John 14:12 The Message (MSG)

The person who trusts me will not only do what I’m doing but even greater things, because I, on my way to the Father, am giving you the same work to do that I’ve been doing.

Further Thought:  Did you notice that John 14:12, above, didn’t say it was the assignment of pastors and evangelists only to do the greater works?  No, it says those who will believe it.  Romans 10:17 reminds us that faith to believe what God has done and provided only comes one way: hearing and hearing what the Word of God says on a specific topic.  Let’s remember Jesus had 30 years of training before God the Father used him to perform his first miracle.  Now let’s not be afraid of the assignment.  Our response should be, Lord, I’m teachable and willing to do what you’ve called me to do.  Recognize, it’s the Spirit of God in you who’s doing the works.  He just needs your willing participation.
