Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Imitate Your Father”
Ephesians 5:1-4 Amplified Bible (AMP)
1 Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]; 2 and walk continually in love [that is, value one another—practice empathy and compassion, unselfishly seeking the best for others], just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God [slain for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.
3 But sexual immorality and all [moral] impurity [indecent, offensive behavior] or greed must not even be hinted at among you, as is proper among saints [for as believers our way of life, whether in public or in private, reflects the validity of our faith]. 4 Let there be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse [obscene or vulgar] joking, because such things are not appropriate [for believers]; but instead speak of your thankfulness [to God].

Further Thought: Just like a good parent would want their child to imitate them, so our Heavenly Father desires for each of his children to imitate Him. When your children begin to copy or imitate you, they will make mistakes along the way. However, as they continue to observe you and ask questions, they become increasingly proficient and soon, becoming just as good or even better than you. Now, we will never exceed the wisdom and ability of our Heavenly Father; however, the more we continue to act upon His Word, the more this world will see who He truly is [through us], which is a good, good father; who is worthy to be imitated.
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
