Call On That Name

Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Call On That Name”

Philippians 2:9-11 New King James Version (NKJV) & Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, [“Should” is the past tense of “shall,” implying authority or compulsion] of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

1 John 4:4 New King James Version (NKJV)

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He [the Holy Spirit, God’s Spirit] who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Further Thought:  So when you don’t know what to do, or you don’t know or can’t recall what the Bible says about what you are facing, call on the name that is above every name.  That name is Jesus. When you call on that name in faith, you activate the power of the greater one (His Spirit, the Holy Spirit) that now lives in you.  Recognize that when you call on the name of Jesus, you are giving the Spirit of God authorization to work in, through, and for you.  Now, don’t forget the power available at your call, and it’s more powerful than any other name. So, if something is out of order, say “In the name of Jesus,” stop.  Get out.  I forbid you in my body, in my life.  Philippians 2:10 above reminds us that if it has a name, it must bow.  Let’s remember that according to Mark 11:23, Jesus has given us the authority to speak to any mountain [any seemingly insurmountable obstacle, challenge, or problem in life].  And if we don’t doubt, but believe what we say, we shall have what we say.  Call On That Name.

Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
