Good Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“It’s Your Choice”
Deuteronomy 30:19 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
“Today I am giving you a choice of two ways. And I ask heaven and earth to be witnesses of your choice. You can choose life or death. The first choice will bring a blessing. The other choice will bring a curse. So choose life! Then you and your children will live.

Further Thought: Today’s passage reminds us it’s God’s way of doing things, and it’s our way. Life is all about choices. When we choose to obey God’s Word, which is His way, we are choosing life. When we decide to go contrary to His Word, we are simply saying, “God, I know you made me and have already predestined a path for my life, and I know you said those plans are good, but I can handle this.”
When I find myself doing things independent of God or something contrary to His Word, the question that always comes to mind without fail is, what impact will this decision have upon what I’m believing God to do in my life? Is it worth it? I wonder how far we are thrown off course when we choose contrary to what God has said.
For example, you’ve prayed and asked God to help you jump-start your business. So He arranges for you to meet a Fortune 500 business owner today, but you decide to use a sick day when you weren’t sick. Now you’ve missed this opportunity. Or you know you should accept a new job opportunity in the local area. However, it didn’t pay as much, so you decided to take another position in a tax-free state where your money could go further. Unfortunately, after less than a year, the position goes away, and now the job opportunity you knew you should have taken is no longer available. I wonder how many months and years these types of decisions, independent of God, cost us. Today, let’s start and continue to make wise choices, staying on the course of life.
Have a great day, and keep chewing on God’s Word.
