“The Lifestyle of the Believer”

Mark 4:26-29 King James Version (KJV)

26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.

28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

Further Thought:  In today’s passage, Jesus provides an example of how the Kingdom of God operates. The seed in today’s passage is the Word of God. Night and day, the man waters and protects his seed. He doesn’t say or do anything that will abort or cause his seed not to produce. Without any additional assistance, the incorruptible seed of God’s word does what it was created to do. So, you don’t have to concern yourself with how God is going to do it. Your responsibility is to believe you receive according to Mark 11:22-26, and Jesus said He will watch over His word to ensure it comes to pass in your life. Let’s remember it’s through faith and patience we inherit the promises of God. This is the Kingdom lifestyle, the only approved lifestyle for the believer.  Amen!
