“Learn to Rest”

Hebrews 4:9-11 King James Version (KJV)

9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Further Thought:  Today’s passage reminds us of one of the most important things required in the Kingdom of God: resting. Let’s recognize that when we read, meditate, and confess God’s word, we are learning how to rest. Where God desires to take us in our rest is that we come to believe and receive whatever he says. When we enter into rest, we have transitioned from hoping and wishing to believing we receive, even when the promise has yet to manifest.  Today, I want to encourage you to take time daily to learn how to rest.  We do this by taking God’s word and begin to chew, confess, believe, and receive every exceeding great and precious promise God has made available. So what do you say? Let’s start and continue in rest mode. Amen!
