Good Friday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Wait”

Psalm 62:5 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) & The Passion Translation (TPT)

My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him.  Only God is my Savior, and he will not fail me.

Further Thought:  Strong’s Concordance defines the word “wait” in this verse as “stillness; adverbially, silently; abstractly quiet, trust.”  Today’s passage reminds us to be still from our works or efforts in anticipation of God’s intervention. Don’t get ahead of what God desires to do in this season of your life.  You don’t have to make it happen. You have to trust Him.

Remember, Isaiah 40:31 Amplified Bible (AMP) “But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.”
