Good Monday Morning. Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:
“Empty Your Sack”
1 Peter 5:6-7 Amplified Bible (AMP)
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time,
7 casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].
——–
Further Thought: So, before you leave home or enter your workplace, empty your sack. This could be concerns with your marriage, children, finances, a doctor’s report, your boss, or a co-worker. Now, if you find yourself still talking about the concern or meditating on it throughout the day, you haven’t cast it on the Lord; you still have it. No, this doesn’t mean you ignore the problem. No, you don’t allow it to dominate your thought life. Emptying your sack will allow you to be free to hear from the Holy Spirit, who will guide you to the solution. Now here is the key, He won’t take it if you don’t give it.
Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
