Do You Believe

Good Friday Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“Do You Believe”

Matthew 9:27-29 New King James Version (NKJV)

27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”  28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”  They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”  29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”

Further Thought:  So whatever it is you are believing God to do in your life right now, He’s asking you the same question.  “Do you believe I’m able to do this”?  If there is hesitation, then your faith/trust is not where it’s supposed to be; it’s not a problem.  Now, get into God’s Word and find the promise or where He has done it before, and begin to meditate on it until the doubt is removed.  Remember you can only believe for something that has been promised.

Once the doubt is removed, you are now ready to release your faith.  This doesn’t mean you deny the doctor’s report or the symptoms.  No faith doesn’t deny the problem, but it does deny its authority to exist in your life.  Now start confessing, I believe the report of the Lord.  His word says in Matthew 8:17, “He took my sicknesses and bore my diseases”; so if He took them, I don’t have to live with them.

So if you are dealing with medical issues, keep following your doctor’s orders by taking your medication as prescribed, exercising ….. At the same time, begin to confess and meditate on what God’s Word says about that problem.  What you will discover if you stick with it is that your faith will come up and override whatever your condition.  Remember, Jesus said in Mark 11:24 that if you believe and receive [take] what He said, you shall have it.

Have a great day and keep chewing on God’s Word.
