Good Morning.  Here’s Today’s Nugget to chew on:

“All Things”

2 Peter 1:3-4 King James Version (KJV)

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Further Thought:  Think about when you were growing up, your parents or guardian supplied all your needs.  Yes, you still had a few responsibilities, [chores, honoring your elders, making good grades].  When we accepted Jesus as our Lord, the responsibility shifted to God to supply all our needs.  Remember, we are ambassadors [representatives] for Christ according to 2 Corinthians 5:20, and no ambassador supplies his own needs.  They are all supplied by the country they represent, and we represent the Kingdom of God. 

Today’s passage reminds us of our responsibility to know and partake of all God has made available.  That is by getting to know Him [God’s Son, Jesus – see verse 3 above]. And we get to know Him through His Word [the Bible] and by obeying His Word.  So, whatever you find yourself in need of is included in the “all things” that pertain unto life and godliness as stated in verse 3 above.  Recognize that in the Kingdom, everything you will ever need has been included in God’s great plans He has for you [see Jeremiah 29:11-13 New International Version (NIV)], which will enable you to live a victorious life that honors Him. Let me encourage you to take a few minutes to meditate on what you’ve read and allow the Holy Spirit, who now lives in you, to reveal whatever you need.
